Chester Roman Gardens-
I shifted to Chester from Texas a week ago with my family. I got a new job here and I bought a house also. My parents were coming also to live with us. When I came here I came to know about [Compnay] cab service that I like so much. Their fare is less and their facilities are amazing. My mother is disabled and she cannot walk after her accident. So I booked a cab for them when they were coming from Texas to pick them up from Heathrow airport . I requested a wheelchair-friendly cab and they provide it so. I did not go myself to pick them up as I was busy in an urgent meeting so it gives me the support that this cab service is good as your own car. My parents also admired the service. My mother wants to see around so I planned to visit Chester Roman Gardens with my family.
The Chester Amphitheatre and Newgate are nearby, while the Roman Gardens are situated immediately beyond the city walls. Entry is uncompensated. The Roman Gardens are located next to the city walls across from the Amphitheatre and Souters Lane, and they extend all the way to the River.
Near the Newgate and Chester Roman Amphitheatre, to the south-east of the city and just beyond the city walls, are the Roman Gardens at Chester. To display the building remnants from the Roman legionary fortress of Deva, including pieces from some of the most significant military buildings, the main baths, the legionary headquarters, and general artefacts found throughout the city, Charles Greenwood and Graham Webster, the then curator of the Grosvenor Museum, built the gardens in 1949. The majority of the Roman building remains that are now on display in the gardens were found during Chester's excavations at the end of the nineteenth century. The endeavour was a component of Chester's 1951 Festival of Britain participation.
Roman pillars and an underfloor heating system can be found in the gardens. It is now more of a peaceful green area in the middle of the city than a Roman archaeological attraction. When walking Chester's ancient city walls, it makes a wonderful pit stop. The River Dee may now be reached thanks to a 2000 renovation of the grounds. The history of Roman Chester and the garden site is explained by interpretive panels. The last time we went, a "soldier" dressed as a Roman legionary was telling the visitors about life in ancient Chester. Younger visitors loved having the opportunity to try on a Roman soldier's helmet and hold a toy sword or spear.
Near the Chester Roman Amphitheatre, there is a small garden and park complex called Chester Roman Gardens. It houses a number of Roman artefacts and antiquities that have been collected from various Roman Chester locations.Seeing this beautiful and historical place my family was very happy. My father’s love for history has made us know about is a wonderful place. After visiting this place we can take a fresh start to our new place of living.
