Sophia Gardens-
If you are a history lover with an interest in cricket like me then you must visit Sophia Gardens. It is a cricket stadium with a museum too. I went there four days ago and it was really a good experience. I am a student of history too and visiting and exploring historical places is my passion. I always go around in search of such places that would increase my knowledge. I went to the stadium with my two friends who had the same interests as me. My friend booked company cab for us. Living in England and I did not know about company. It was worth travelling with them. Their service was really good. The driver was kind. We had to cancel a cab that we booked a day ago but we did not know about the confirmation of our trip so we cancel it within 12 hours and they did not charge us. We reach Sophia Gardens on time just before the start of the match.
Sophia Garden is also a park and it has many parts including a stadium and museum. The Sophia Gardens neighborhood consists of a space that is bordered to the east by the Taff River, to the south by Cowbridge Road East, to the west by buildings on Cathedral Road, and to the north by Pontcanna Fields. There is still a little patch of grass with some trees next to Cowbridge Road. There is a parking lot to the north of here. The Millennium footbridge spans the Taff into Bute Park just northeast of the parking lot. Cardiff Bowls Club is located just to the northwest of the parking lot.
The second Marquess of Bute's wife whose name was Sophia, whose family owned the property where the recreation area was planned during the 1850s as the Bute Estate established the first public park in Wales, which is honoured by the name Sophia Gardens. We visited the museum and there were many transcripts that were telling the history of this place. The park was crowded with children. They were playing here and there. There were many flowers in the garden. It looks like a wonderland where there was greenery everywhere with a part full of informative history and an entertaining sector where you can hear the cheering of people all around. At night the stadium is full of illuminated lights that enlighten up the ground. If you are watching the match at night you would not feel any difference here from the day as the lights are so intense that they would brighten up the night.
Glamorgan County Cricket Club is the most brilliant club here among 18 clubs that come under the domestic structure club of Whales and England. It represents the very terrific and historic county of Glamorgan. The headquarters of Glamorgan Cricket is located in Cardiff's Sophia Gardens, the first public park in Wales. The Marquess of Bute donated the area to Cardiff Corporation in 1947 for recreational reasons, and it is near to the city centre and the River Taff.ns
