Big Ben
I came to London for a business meeting. I really enjoyed visiting this city. There are many beautiful and beautiful places to visit. I disembarked at the Stansted airport where I booked a cab company my friend once told me about their excellent service. The driver arrived at the airport in 15 minutes and set me on my way to my destination. I really enjoyed riding with them. The drivers were experienced and well-versed in driving on the busy streets of London.
After attending my meeting I arrived at the hotel and the next day I booked a company car again and went out to visit nearby. I've heard a lot about Big Ben, so I chose my first site to explore. I met a friend when a local man guided me and told me more about the place. Among London's most famous landmarks and tourist attractions are the Houses of Parliament and the Elizabeth Tower, also known as Big Ben. Technically, the largest metal inside the clock tower, weighing more than 13 tons, is known as Big Ben .
When the face of the four clocks is illuminated at night, the clock tower looks beautiful and one can miss the sparkling and shining lights. In 1834, a fire completely destroyed the Westminster palace. The installation of the tower and the clock in the new buildings of the Houses of Parliament were chosen in 1844. The Westminster area first heard of Big Ben on May 31, 1859. The Big Ben cracked a short time later, in September 1859. an uninjured piece of hammer, a simple hammer was attached. This is how the bell sounds right now.
The Westminster Tube station, operated by the Jubilee, District, and Circle lines, is across the street from the tower and is accessible by a variety of London buses. The neighborhood of the tower, Westminster, is provided with a variety of river bus routes. One of London's most popular destinations is Big Ben. You can still attend the debate on the Elizabeth Tower or visit the nearby Houses of Parliament. A bunch of coins placed on a large pendulum tightly controls how Big Ben saves time. On December 31, 1923, the BBC broadcast the Big Ben chimes for the first time. This custom is still practiced today. During legal times, a different light is illuminated over the face of the clock. The clock tower would be renamed the Elizabeth Tower in honor of the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II, the House of Commons announced in June 2012.
The renovation of Big Ben and Elizabeth Tower began in August 2017. The work is expected to take three years. With the exception of special events chosen such as New Year's Eve and Memorial Sunday, the tower will be erected and the clock will be stopped for a few months and there will be no crying or beating.
